Students in the fourth year have opportunities for additional exposure in pediatrics through a number of electives, including a subinternship.
The courses are designed for more in depth exposure to the different pediatric subspecialties. They are of value to people pursuing careers that will include the care of children as well as for those students who want to broaden the medical education. Many of these courses may be taken for a variable number of credits, providing flexibility in scheduling during the fourth year. Current electives include:
