For real sustainable advances, we need to successfully and appropriately train the next generation of clinicians and scientists to have an interest in pediatric immunocompromised patients.
Who we train, and how we train them, is our legacy. The DPIHP will serve as a unifying group to attract the best trainees in all disciplines, including development of integrated transplant- and immunocompromised-specific pediatric teaching conferences.
