Patients with renal disorders are evaluated and managed by pediatric nephrologists assisted by a dedicated team of health care professionals, including resident physicians, pediatric nephrology fellows, pediatric nurses, a pediatric nurse practitioner, a registered dietician, social workers, and specially trained dialysis nurses. In addition outpatient dialysis is provided in conjunction with Davita Dialysis at Bull City Dialysis facility with a dedicated team of pediatric trained dialysis staff. Patients who need renal transplant surgery are managed by a pediatric renal transplant surgeon in conjunction with the pediatric nephrologists. Patients with urologic disorders are evaluated and managed by the pediatric urologist. The pediatric urologist and nephrologist work closely together to evaluate and manage children who require the expertise of both in such conditions as abnormalities of the urinary tract, urinary tract infections, and kidney failure from obstructive uropathy.
