Patient Care

Patients with nephrologic disorders are evaluated and managed by pediatric nephrologists assisted by a dedicated team of health care professionals, including a pediatric nurse clinician, nutritionist, social worker, and dialysis technician. Patients who need renal transplant surgery are managed by a pediatric renal transplant surgeon in conjunction with the pediatric nephrologists. Patients with urologic disorders are evaluated and managed by the pediatric urologist. The pediatric urologist and nephrologist work closely together to evaluate and manage children who require the expertise of both in such conditions as abnormalities of the urinary tract, urinary tract infections, and kidney failure from obstructive uropathy.

A comprehensive description of all of our pediatric nephrology clinical services, locations, and appointment information is available on Duke Children's.
