State-of-the-Art Care
Our team of physicians, nurse practitioners, and dietitians provide state-of-the-art diagnostic procedures and treatments for both common and rare diseases of the esophagus, stomach, small bowel, colon, gallbladder, bile ducts, and pancreas.
Duke Children's is the first hospital in North and South Carolina to offer Transnasal Endoscopy (TNE).
We also offer comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic services for pediatric patients with acute and chronic liver disease and work in conjunction with Duke’s liver and small bowel transplant program. The division collaborates on patient care with the Divisions of Pediatric Surgery, Transplant Surgery, Colorectal Surgery, Otolaryngology, Pediatric Radiology, and Interventional Radiology. The division coordinates biliary and pancreatic interventional endoscopy (primarily ERCP and ultrasound) with the Department of Internal Medicine’s Division of Gastroenterology.
