What are the strengths of your training program?
Our program is very strong clinically, and there is an incredible breadth and depth of congenital and acquired heart disease that we manage. The fellows have excellent levels of autonomy, and the work environment is very collegial and supportive. I think our culture of collaboration and teamwork is what makes our program stand out.
How are you involved in research? What are your research interests?
I am getting more involved in research this year, and my research interests lie within the field of heart failure and transplantation. In particular, I am focusing on outcomes with donation after circulatory death heart transplantation.
How do you spend your time outside of work?
My time outside of work is primarily spent with my wife, 2-year-old daughter, and chocolate lab. I enjoy exercising, and on good days you'll find me at the golf course.
