Wesevich receives Snyderman Award

The Institutional Committee for Graduate Medical Education has selected Austin Wesevich, MD, MPH, a fourth year combined Medicine-Pediatrics resident, as the recipient of the annual Ralph Snyderman, MD, GME Research Award. Established in 2004, the award recognizes excellence in graduate medical research.

The committee selected Dr. Wesevich from a strong pool of applicants for his research project entitled, Utilization of Text Messages to Supplement Rounding Communication: A Randomized Feasibility Study. His faculty mentors include Drs. Thomas LeBlanc, Kathryn Pollock, Mikelle Key-Solle, and Colby Feeney.

Dr. Wesevich completed his undergraduate, medical doctorate and master of public health degrees at Washington University in St. Louis.  He will be starting his adult hematology/oncology fellowship at the University of Chicago in July 2021.
