On November 30, 2023, a Scholarship Awards Reception was held to honor the recipients of the Pediatrics Resident and Fellow Scholarship and the JEDAI and Health Equity Career Development Scholarship. Both scholarships are generously funded by Malbert Smith III, PhD, and Alisa Smith. The purpose of the Pediatrics Resident and Fellow scholarship is to provide funding to residents and fellows that will support and fulfill financial needs they may have throughout their training program. The purpose of the JEDAI and Health Equity Career Development Scholarship is to provide funding to residents and fellows that support their career development within the field of pediatrics and healthcare specifically aligning with Justice, Equity, Diversity, AntiRacism, and Inclusion or Advocacy or Health Equity.
