New leadership roles for Chung and Jackson

Edward G. Buckley, MD, vice dean for Education, School of Medicine; chair, Department of Ophthalmology; vice chancellor for Duke-National University Singapore Affairs; Gills Professor of Ophthalmology; and professor of pediatrics, recently announced that Aimee Chung, MD and David Gordon, MD have been selected as new advisory deans. According to Buckley, “Both are excellent educators with strong track records of accomplishment.”

They will join Delbert Wigfall, MDLeonor Corsino, MD, and Joseph Jackson, MD in guiding Duke students through medical school.

In addition, Jackson has accepted the role of director of the Office of Student Affairs, replacing Caroline Haynes, MD, PhD.
