Jason Lang, MD, associate professor of pediatrics in the Division of Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine and Mai ElMallah, MBBCh, associate professor of pediatrics in the Division of Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine, have been elected to the Society for Pediatric Research (SPR).

The mission of the Society for Pediatric Research is to foster the research and career development of investigators engaged in creating new knowledge that advances the health and well-being of children and youth. SPR membership signifies peer recognition of substantial achievements in pediatric research and is conferred on only those physician-scientists with impressive research records.

They will be inducted at the Pediatric Academic Societies (PAS) Annual Meeting, April 24 - May 1, 2019 in Baltimore.

According to Ann M. Reed, MD, Samuel L. Katz Professor of Pediatrics and chair of the Department of Pediatrics, "Election to the SPR represents a true distinction, and Jason and Mai are highly deserving of this recognition.”
