What were you looking for in a residency program?
I was looking for a mid sized program that would allow me see a large breadth of pathology, and give me an opportunity to learn about and to treat even the most rare of pediatric diseases. I was also looking for a program that would support their residents in whatever endeavors they seek to take on – be it research, global health, or local opportunities. Lastly, I wanted to be at a place that had a strong environment of support and solidarity – where the residents were valued, where resident classes were close, and where concerns could be raised and addressed appropriately, at all levels of the program.
