REFLECTIONS ON THE DUKE PROGRAM
What do you want to get involved in at Duke that particularly interests you?
I cannot wait to be a part of the Duke Pediatric Research Scholars Program (DPRS). It provides a phenomenal community of mentors and support, and Duke has such a rich research environment that I am thrilled to join. I also hope to join the Resident Diversity and Inclusion Committee and contribute to initiatives to promote more equitable outcomes for both children’s health and medical training.
What's best about living in Durham and the Triangle?
One of my favorite parts about living in the Triangle is the incredible access to nature. I love how right off of Duke’s main campus you have the beautiful Sarah P. Duke Gardens and access to running trails in the Duke Forest. The nearby Eno River State Park and Jordan Lake State Recreation Area offer great local hiking spots just a few miles away.

What do you like to do outside of work?
Outside of work, I enjoy going on hikes and walks with my wife and dog. I also love playing and watching sports, especially basketball and soccer. On longer breaks, I like to take trips to the ocean. The beaches in the Carolinas are fantastic for day/weekend trips!
