Reflections on the Duke program
What were you looking for in a residency program?
Above all else, I was looking for a supportive program that felt like a family. Other things that were important to me were location and opportunities for research and teaching.
What do you want to get involved in at Duke that particularly interests you (i.e. committees, research, interest groups, QI, etc.)?
I'm excited about getting involved in the Residents as Teachers Committee and plan to participate in research.
About Duke and Durham
What’s best about living in Durham and the Triangle?
I love living in Durham, and it was a big factor in choosing Duke for residency! You get so many of the benefits of a city, like great food and free events, while still being drivable and without the high cost of living.
What do you like to do outside of work?
The majority of my time outside of work is spent hanging out with my baby boy, my husband, and our two dogs. There's a ton of outdoor trails in Durham that we like to visit. I also love game nights, gardening, crafty projects, and anything food related!
