Reflections on the Duke program
What were you looking for in a residency program?
Mid-sized academic program that had a great reputation in a place that was affordable to live. It was the faculty I met on interview day that convinced me Duke would be a great fit.
What are you involved in at duke that particularly interests you (i.e., committees, research, interest groups, QI, etc.)?
So far just learning to be an intern and trying to get to know my lovely fellow residents during this time of physical distancing.
What are the strengths of the Duke program?
So far I am really impressed with the faculty teaching ability and involvement.

What’s the best about living in Durham and the Triangle?
Good food and plenty of lakes and rivers to explore.
What advice would you give about moving to Durham?
So many different types of neighborhoods are within a 15 minute drive from the hospital. Something for everyone.

What do you like to do outside of work?
Explore, hike, and read.
What is something interesting/surprising about you?
I have driven across the country 7 times and have been to 47 of the 50 states.
