Reflections on the Duke program
What were you looking for in a residency program?
I was looking for a program with genuinely supportive leadership (shout out to our wonderful PD, Mia!) and a diverse patient population that would expose me to a wide breadth of pathology. I also ideally wanted a program where I didn't feel like a small fish in a big pond and knew everyone (from co-residents to attendings) well and vice versa.
What do you want to get involved in at Duke that particularly interests you (i.e. committees, research, interest groups, QI, etc.)?
About Duke and Durham
What’s best about living in Durham and the Triangle?
I love how convenient everything is! I personally live 10 minutes away from the hospital and 5-15 minutes away from various stores (Trader Joes! SuperTarget! Costco!) and several restaurants. There are also many things to do - some of my favorites include seeing shows at the DPAC and visiting the Duke Gardens!
What do you like to do outside of work?
Zumba, baking, hosting paint nights.
