What are the strengths of your training program?
I was drawn to Duke’s Pediatric Endocrinology Program for its strong leadership, the collegial atmosphere within the division and the opportunities for growth. The program is made up of thoughtful and intentional individuals who are genuinely invested in one another and their patients, while continually striving to make the program and the field of endocrinology better.
How are you involved in research? What are your research interests?
My research interests include type 1 diabetes and the use of diabetes technology, with a particular passion for the adolescent population. I am especially interested in finding ways to make diabetes management more accessible and manageable during this important and often challenging stage of life.
How do you spend your time outside of work?
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband. We love going on walks and bike rides around Durham or venturing into the NC mountains for a hike. We also enjoy playing games at home and spending time with our cats.
