Reflections on the Duke program
What were you looking for in a residency program?
A medium-sized program with a close-knit group of residents and faculty balanced with a high volume of patients and subspecialty programs. Duke strikes this perfect balance and offers incredible opportunities in the research and clinical settings. I couldn’t be happier here!
What do you want to get involved in at Duke that particularly interests you (i.e. committees, research, interest groups, QI, etc.)?
About Duke and Durham
What’s best about living in Durham and the Triangle?
Durham has all the components of a large city including a vibrant food scene, bustling airport, and competitive sports teams. It also has the charm and accessibility of a small town. Traffic is minimal, allowing you to commute to the many breweries, restaurants, hiking trails, and music venues in no more than 15 minutes!
What do you like to do outside of work?
I love watching sports and reality TV with my co-residents. I also enjoy traveling, walking my dog, cooking, playing pickleball, and hiking!
