Reflections on the Duke program
What were you looking for in a residency program?
I was looking for a program that not only provided excellent training but where Attendings and Fellows were approachable and there was an emphasis on learning. I wanted to feel that after residency I would have seen a wide variety of pediatric conditions.
What do you want to get involved in at Duke that particularly interests you (i.e. committees, research, interest groups, QI, etc.)?
I hope to become involved in community outreach while at Duke as well as Global Health opportunities.
About Duke and Durham
What’s best about living in Durham and the Triangle?
All the different food options! Everything you could ever want is in close proximity. This is the furthest South I've ever lived, and the people here are so warm and friendly. There is also virtually no traffic (huge bonus)!!
What do you like to do outside of work?
I love to hang out with friends, go swimming at the pool or explore local places.
