Reflections on the Duke program
What were you looking for in a residency program?
I was looking for a medium-sized program in a larger metropolitan area. I was also interested in a program where the residents seemed happy and had a good amount of work-life balance.
What are the strengths of the Duke program?
The patient population at Duke is incredibly diverse, which makes for a more enriching learning experience. Everyone here has also been very welcoming and down to earth which also makes for a great learning environment.

What’s the best about living in Durham and the Triangle?
The area is so scenic, and there are so many lakes, trails, parks to explore. It is also very affordable and the food scene here is also great!

What do you like to do outside of work?
I like to get out of my apartment as much as I can. I love discovering new hiking trails, trying new restaurants and reading.
