Duke program
What were you looking for in a residency program?
The family-type feel between the residents. I want to feel comfortable enough to learn and make mistakes and have people who genuinely want to see me succeed.
What do you want to get involved in at Duke that particularly interests you (i.e. committees, research, interest groups, QI, etc.)?
Medical Education.
What are the strengths of the Duke program?
The attending physicians have a personality that is intense and admirable, yet approachable and patient. It inspires me to strive to be like them, but give me a space to practice and learn.
About Duke and Durham
What’s best about living in Durham and the Triangle?
All of the food places to explore!
What advice would you give about moving to Durham?
A lot of residents live in downtown Durham and around Ninth street, which are great places because it's close to the hospital and food/breweries.
What do you like to do outside of work?
Hang out with my co-interns! We go to the pool, the beach, the park, to dinner, on trips. We're a huge group of soulmates!
