What are the strengths of your training program?
The Pediatric Hematology-Oncology (PHO) Fellowship at Duke University offers comprehensive clinical and research training with a strong focus on education and mentorship. Even though I had a virtual interview, I felt connected to the faculty, who were very welcoming and friendly. The PHO department provides various basic science, translational, and clinical research opportunities, ensuring personalized career development for the fellows. Additionally, being in a wonderful city like Durham, NC, which is known for its natural beauty, scenic trails and parks, enhances the experience. The people, the place, and the outstanding training make Duke University's PHO fellowship program stand out.

How are you involved in research? What are your research interests?
I am interested in basic science research on optimizing pharmacological molecules used to fight cancer cells. My passion for working in a lab (and pipetting A LOT) started during my MSc degree, and I look forward to building on this passion during my years in Duke’s University PHO fellowship.

How do you spend your time outside of work?
I am a brand new father (kudos to all new parents reading this), so I spend most of my off-work days babbling with my daughter. Also, I enjoy playing soccer, working out, and eating desserts!
