On September 14, the Department of Pediatrics Diversity and Inclusion Resident Task Force distributed five large boxes of school supplies that were generously donated by departmental faculty, trainees, and staff to children at LEAP. LEAP is an early education organization which provides high quality preschool and tutoring to children empowering them to achieve academic success. LEAP exists to serve all children in Durham in need of academic support regardless of their immigration status, race, ethnicity or other characteristics. This school supply drive was a success and is part of our department’s continued effort to engage with our community at large. Thank you to all who donated!
