New and competing renewal awards for December 2022

The following is a list of new and competing renewal awards that were made to faculty in the Department of Pediatrics for the month of December 2022. Please extend your congratulations to the following individuals. 

Karl-Dimiter Bissig (Medical Genetics) received an award from Alnylam Pharmaceutical for a project entitled, Therapeutic Approaches and Disease Modeling for Progressive Familial Intrahepatic Cholestasis Type 2. The project period is 10/01/2022-09/2023.

Gregory Fleming (Cardiology) received an award from Edwards Lifesciences SOW#5 for a project entitled, Multicenter Post-Approval Study of Congenital Pulmonic Valve Dysfunction Studying the Edwards SAPIEN 3 Transcatheter Pulmonary Valve System with Alterra Adaptive Prestent. The project period is 12/13/2022-05/31/2024.

Rasheed Gbadegesin (Nephrology) received an award from NEPHCURE Kidney International for a project entitled, Defining the Role of Chloride Channel 5 in Maintaining Podocyte Structure and Functions. The project period is 01/01/2023-12/31/2023.

Mohamad Mikati (Neurology) received an award from Catholic University Sacred Heart for a project entitled, La Marato de TV3 Foundation: Treat-AHC, Identification of Compounds for the Treatment of Alternating Hemiplegia of Childhood by Drug Repositioning. The project period is 12/12/2022-06/30/2024.
