The Duke Department of Pediatrics congratulates our newly matched medical students. On Friday, March 15, 2024, at the Trent Semans Center for Health Education, Duke University School of Medicine fourth-year medical students opened their envelopes to learn where they will complete residency training. Match Day is a unified event organized by the National Resident Match Program.
The department’s incoming 2024 intern class will include 18 categorical (including 2 who will proceed on to Child Neurology), and 6 Combined Medicine-Pediatrics trainees. Our new interns will have attended 20 different medical schools, including 4 from Duke.
As we welcome this outstanding 2024 intern class to the Duke family, we thank our faculty and current residents for their invaluable support during this year's residency recruitment season.
Congratulations to the new class, and we are excited they are now a part of Duke Pediatrics.
