This past weekend, nearly 50 schools and more than 300 students from across the country gathered in St. Louis, MO, for the 15th Annual Latino Medical Student Association (LMSA) National Conference with the theme, "Unidos for Medicina y Más: A Multidisciplinary Approach to Latinx Health." Margarita Bidegain, MD, professor of pediatrics in the Division of Neonatology; Pablo Plasencia, MD, a first-year Pediatrics resident; and Jeanine Holland of the School of Medicine’s Office of Diversity and Inclusion attended the conference. The Latino Medical Student Association unites and empowers medical students through service, mentorship and education to advocate for the health of the Latino community.
