Duke art students provide 'Under the Sea' experience for Children's operating rooms

Sea creatures of all types brightened the walls of the Duke pediatric operating room hallways by the end of Memorial Day weekend. The collaboration between Duke Perioperative Services and the Duke University Department of Art, Art History and Visual Studies under the supervision of Beverly McIver, the Esbenshade Professor of the Practice of Art, was celebrated as senior students Allison Dear and Robin Yeh, visual arts majors and now recent graduates, put the finishing touches on the vibrantly-colored mural that will serve to entertain both the young patients and staff alike.
