REFLECTIONS ON THE DUKE PROGRAM
What were you looking for in a residency program?
I was looking for a program that places an emphasis on camaraderie among residents and robust mentorship. Additionally, I was interested in a program with specialized tracks geared towards advocacy and global health. Lastly, I wanted to have exposure to wide-ranging patient populations with ample opportunity to see a good balance of bread-and-butter peds and complex cases.
What do you want to get involved in at Duke that particularly interests you?
I am interested in the HEAL track, global health, community outreach, and research.

What are you looking forward to most about living in Durham and the Triangle?
I am looking forward to doing some hiking in Durham and surrounding areas as there are a lot of trails and green spaces to explore. I am also on the hunt for the best spots to eat/get coffee/unwind.
What do you like to do outside of work?
I enjoy spending time in nature and traveling (especially the national parks!). I also love exploring creative outlets through photography, crafts, makeup and fashion, and home decor.
What is something interesting/surprising about you?
I grew up in Venezuela until age 10, I speak conversational French, and I love Latin dancing!
