REFLECTIONS ON THE DUKE PROGRAM
What were you looking for in a residency program?
There were so many things on my checklist that Duke met. I wanted to be in a place with a diverse patient population because that aligns with my career aspirations. Additionally, I sought numerous opportunities to explore subspecialties, as I am entering with an open mind about my future direction after training. Most importantly, I was looking for a program that provides robust support for residents. I preferred a mid-sized program where I could receive the mentorship necessary for success.
What do you want to get involved in at Duke that particularly interests you?
I would love to get involved with the global health and DEI initiatives at Duke. I am excited to be in an institution that supports diversity and culturally competent health care.

What's best about living in Durham and the Triangle?
The highlight of living in Durham is definitely the food. I've enjoyed everything I've eaten so far and I'm eager to explore all the restaurants in the area.
