REFLECTIONS ON THE DUKE PROGRAM

What were you looking for in a residency program?
I was looking for a residency program that was welcoming, offered opportunities to explore subspecialty electives, and valued residents as people, not just as employees. 

What do you want to get involved in at Duke that particularly interests you?
Another reason I chose Duke was the numerous opportunities to get involved with advocacy work for marginalized communities and in infectious disease research, both of which I would like to participate in while in residency here.

What do you like to do outside of work?
Outside of work, I enjoy going to the movies, reading, crocheting, and cross stitching. I helped start a book club with some of my fellow co-interns, and I recently joined a local crafting group.
