REFLECTIONS ON THE DUKE PROGRAM

What were you looking for in a residency program?
I was looking for a program that felt like a true family – somewhere with great camaraderie, supportive people, and strong clinical training. I'm interested in pursuing a fellowship, so it was also important to find a program that would challenge me and set me up for long-term success.

What do you want to get involved in at Duke that particularly interests you?
I'm passionate about advocacy and look forward to getting involved in opportunities that support and amplify the voices of children and families. Advocacy is such an important part of being a pediatrician, and I'm excited to grow in this area during residency – both within the Duke community and beyond.

MORE ABOUT THE RESIDENT

What are you looking forward to most about living in Durham and the Triangle?
I've lived in Ohio my whole life, so moving to Durham is a big but exciting change! After my interview, I had that gut feeling that this was where I was meant to be. I'm really looking forward to catching Durham Bulls games, watching Duke sports, and exploring the local food scene.

What do you like to do outside of work?
Outside of work, I love to travel, Peloton, and cheer on The Ohio State Buckeyes and Buffalo Bills. I'm also a big fan of reality TV.
