REFLECTIONS ON THE DUKE PROGRAM
What were you looking for in a residency program?
My hope was to find a residency program that considered resident education, wellness, and community partnerships as their top priorities. I believe these aspects are integral for me to operate at my best and serve patients and their families. I also hoped to have the support of an approachable leadership who is invested in the success of residents. Finally, as a North Carolinian for over 10 years, I wanted to remain close to home while completing my training. Duke has met (and exceeded) these expectations and I am so thrilled to join the family!

What are you looking forward to most about living in Durham and the Triangle?
I'm so excited to be able to stay close to my family and my partner! I've also loved seeing the Triangle area grow over the years, especially the food scene!
What do you like to do outside of work?
I enjoy listening to music and getting to experience my favorite artists in the live setting (I’m a proud member of the BeyHive!). I love trying new cooking and baking recipes and sharing my food with my loved ones. I also like to attend festivals, explore local parks and travel.
