What were you looking for in a residency program?
I was looking for a program that felt familial and close-knit, an academic center where learning was a priority and other learners were present, and a program that would offer me the necessary support for me to grow into the best physician that I can possibly be.

What are you looking forward to most about living in Durham and the Triangle?
I'm looking forward to living in a growing area with many other young professionals, temperate weather, all the nearby outdoor recreation, and the food scene.
What do you like to do outside of work?
I love to stay active (running, weightlifting, hiking, playing sports), travel domestically and abroad, read (I'm not picky, I'll read mostly anything), watch sports (especially soccer and college basketball/football), watch random video essays and documentaries on YouTube, and spend time with family and friends.
What is something interesting/surprising about you?
I've been using the same fun fact since Kindergarten, and I'm not going to change now. Something interesting about me is that I am a dual citizen. I have both a US and a German passport.
