REFLECTIONS ON THE DUKE PROGRAM

What were you looking for in a residency program?
I was looking for a small to medium sized program where the people would feel like family. I also wanted somewhere that offered a good amount of primary care experiences, and I prioritized an X+Y scheduling model. 

What do you want to get involved in at Duke that particularly interests you?
Medical student education interests me a great deal! I am very passionate about teaching and love that we get to interact with medical students through some of our rotations. I also got involved with the wellness committee because I want to make sure wellness is prioritized for my fellow residents to help us be the best physicians we can be.

What are you looking forward to most about living in Durham and the Triangle?
Enjoying the Saturday Farmers Market, walking around Duke Gardens, finding new restaurants, and exploring the town!

What do you like to do outside of work?
I like to hang out with my two dogs, Ruth and Daisy! I also enjoy reading and finding new restaurants to explore. Going to Duke Gardens is one of my favorite past times!

What is something interesting/surprising about you?
I have a black belt in martial arts!
