What were you looking for in a residency program?
I was looking for a mid-sized program with a strong sense of community and supportive faculty, as well as the patient volume and resources of a large academic center. When I visited for Second Look Day, I absolutely loved Durham and could really see myself being happy here.

MORE ABOUT THE RESIDENT

What are you looking forward to most about living in Durham and the Triangle?
So far, I've really loved spending time outdoors through kayaking, exploring the weekly farmers market, checking out the Eno River and Tobacco Trail, and finding new hikes throughout the state. There's always something to do here! I'm also looking forward to attending college sporting events in the area and, coming from up north, I'm definitely excited for the milder winters.

What do you like to do outside of work?
Outside of work, I enjoy reading, Peloton, visiting national parks, and hiking.
