Wesevich receives Robert M. Califf, MD, Medicine Resident Research Award

The Duke Internal Medicine Residency Program celebrated Resident Research Day 2021 at Medicine Grand Rounds on Friday, May 21.

The event featured a virtual poster session and presentations by the Robert M. Califf, MD, Medicine Resident Research Award recipients including:

Austin Wesevich, MD, MPH
Duke Combined Medicine-Pediatrics Residency Program, PGY-4
Utilization of Text Messages to Supplement Rounding Communication: A Randomized Feasibility Study
Mentor: Thomas LeBlanc, MD, MA, MHS

Califf Medicine Research Awards

The Califf Medicine Resident Research Awards are annual research prizes dedicated to promoting resident research. The Califf Award competition is announced in March of each academic year and abstracts are due in May. A faculty committee reviews each abstract entry and determines the winners.
