The Duke Department of Pediatrics proudly congratulates our newly matched medical students! On Friday, March 20, 2026, at the Trent Semans Center for Health Education, fourth-year students from the Duke University School of Medicine eagerly opened their envelopes to learn where they will complete their residency training. Match Day, a nationally coordinated event, is organized by the National Resident Matching Program.
This year, our incoming 2026 intern class includes 18 categorical interns (with 2 pursuing Child Neurology and 1 pursuing DPRS) and 6 Combined Medicine-Pediatrics trainees. These talented individuals represent 21 different medical schools, including 1 from Duke.
As we welcome this outstanding intern class to the Duke family, we extend our sincere gratitude to our faculty and current residents for their invaluable support throughout this year’s residency recruitment season.
Congratulations to the new class! We are thrilled to have them join Duke Pediatrics.
