Joanne Kurtzberg, MD, is the fourth recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Pediatric Blood and Marrow Transplant Consortium (PBMTC). She is being recognized for a career that exemplifies the mission of the PBMTC.

Office of Pediatric Education Receives APA Teaching Program Award - The Office of Pediatric Education recently received the 2012 Academic Pediatric Association Teaching Program Award.
Experimental Procedure Changes Charlotte Area Girl's Life -  Joanne Kurtzberg, MD, Professor of Pediatrics, discussed cord blood transfusion for an 11-month-old girl to test its effect on hydrocephalus.
Duke University Hospital Awarded Grant From St. Baldrick's Foundation - Support from the foundation has allowed Duke to develop an early phase clinical trial program on promising therapies for children with neuroblastoma.
