Residents and fellows from around the nation and the world come to Duke Pediatrics, where they fuel their passion to become skilled leaders, researchers, and clinicians.

There are more than 150 residents and fellows in our programs. About a third of those are recruited each year, as noted in the graph below.

  • 202 inpatient beds, including:
    • 74-bed Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
    • 20-bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit
    • 20-bed Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit
    • Intermediate pediatric inpatient beds

 

The Duke Children's Health Center is located adjacent to the hospital and serves as the site for ambulatory pediatric subspecialty care, with approximately 70,000 annual visits.
