Yee will be responsible for assuring ongoing compliance with the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME) standards and elements related to admissions as well as maintaining relationships with local, regional and national pre-med organizations, participating in student recruitment activities, and assisting with pipeline program development.

Yee is an associate professor in the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Emergency Medicine. He has served as an interim co-associate dean of admissions with Lawrence Crawford, MD, since 2017. Prior to this role, Yee served as vice chair and chair of the School of Medicine’s Admissions Committee. In her announcement to the School of Medicine community, Klotman congratulated Yee on his new appointment and thanked Brenda Armstrong, MD, who served as associate dean for admissions for more than 20 years, and Lawrence (Larry) Crawford, MD, who served as interim co-associate dean of admissions with Yee, for the work to ensure a seamless transition in leadership and for their continuing service and commitment to students and the admissions process.
