Amy Deshler, Senior Executive Director, Duke Cancer Institute (DCI) and Duke Children’s Development, recently announced that Debbie Taylor has been named as Senior Associate Director, Duke Cancer Institute and Duke Children’s Development, effective February 1. In this new position, Taylor will work closely with Deshler and serve as the principal deputy in developing and managing operational services in the DCI and Children’s fundraising programs.
In 2013 Taylor served as a volunteer with the Duke Cancer Patient Support Program, and Program Coordinator for the Duke Cancer Patient Network/Duke LifePoint in 2014-2015. In this role she planned, coordinated and managed projects and operations for the Director of the Duke Cancer Network to support program strategic growth and development. She then joined Duke University Development as an Assistant Director of Alumni Giving where she set a new fundraising record for the 20th Reunion. In 2017 Taylor joined the Duke Children’s team as Director, Duke Children’s Programs. Taylor has also had an extensive career in teaching, NCAA Division 1 coaching and freelance sports broadcasting.
