Mofield assumes new business manager role

Susan Kline, chief administrator for the Department of Pediatrics recently announced that Scott Mofield has accepted the business manager/division administrator position for the divisions of Nephrology, Rheumatology and Medical Genetics, effective February 1, 2018.  In this role, he will be responsible for the daily operations and strategic planning and development for each division in partnership with the chiefs, faculty, staff, and others. 

Scott began working at Duke in August 2003 with positions in the President’s Office and the Career Center before assuming the role of assistant director of the Duke Pediatric Blood and Marrow Transplant Family Support Program, with primary responsibilities focused on volunteer coordination and family services. He was subsequently promoted to director of the Family Support Program in December 2011, where he was responsible for financial oversight, development, and daily administrative operations. Scott became division operations manager for the divisions of Blood and Marrow Transplantation, Endocrinology, Hematology/Oncology, and Infectious Diseases in March 2016, with responsibilities focused on clinical operations and day-to-day financial and administrative oversight for these four divisions.
