The Department of Pediatrics consists of nearly 200 academic and clinical faculty in 18 divisions and two programs. The synergy among the department's physicians, researchers, educators, and staff offers unprecedented opportunities for teamwork among the scientists in our labs and caregivers in our hospitals and clinics.

    The mission of DukeAhead is to promote excellence in the education of health professionals by creating a community of education scholars, fostering innovation in health professions education, supporting outstanding teachers, providing faculty development programs and facilitating quality education research.

    The Faculty Appointments, Promotion and Tenure Office assists in facilitating best practices in the consideration of faculty appointments, promotions and tenure for the School of Medicine and School of Nursing.

    The School of Medicine Office for Faculty Development serves as a resource for faculty at all levels. One of two arms of the larger Office for Faculty, our team works to promote faculty success and well-being by offering tools needed to successfully navigate a career at Duke.
