Reflections on the Duke program
What were you looking for in a residency program?
A great general pediatrics training with interesting patients, awesome mentors, and a program that takes care of their trainees.
What are you involved in at Duke that particularly interests you (i.e. committees, research, interest groups, QI, etc)?
Diversity and inclusion for now. Interested in being involved in others.
What are the strengths of the Duke program?
Mentors. Location. Name attracts interesting patients.
About Duke and Durham
What's best about living in Durham and the Triangle?
Food, food and food. Access to numerous things to do.
What advice would you give about moving to Durham?
Start the house hunt early. It is a very attractive place to live so buying a house is likely going to be a long process.
What do you like to do outside of work?
Exercise, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, exploring different restaurants, ultimate Frisbee, video games, music (hip hop and R&B, rock), snowboarding, scuba diving, TV/movies.
