Overview
Cutting edge clinical, translational, and basic research that focuses on childhood disease is a fundamental priority for the Department of Pediatrics. The faculty and staff in the Department are engaged in individual projects and also collaborate with other investigators across the Duke University community who are focused on improving the health of children. Central to the research mission of the Department is a commitment to develop the next generation of clinical investigators.

Revised Guidelines for National Institutes of Health (NIH) Grants [17]
The National Institutes of Health (NIH) has implemented significant changes in the application instructions and forms for both paper-based PHS 398 [18] applications and electronic SF 424 [19] (R&R) applications. The new application instructions and forms must be used for applications intended for due dates on or after January 25, 2010. In addition, reviewers have been issued revised instructions regarding the assessment of grant applications.
