Internal Funding Opportunities
The Department of Pediatrics offers two sources of internal funding, the Anna's Angels Foundation and the Children's Miracle Network Research Fund. The purpose of these funds is to provide support for pilot projects that have the potential for development into larger projects and eventual extramural support.
Anna's Angels Foundation
Children's Miracle Network (CMN)
Children's Miracle Network
is the alliance of premier children's hospitals in North
America. It is a non-profit
organization dedicated to helping kids by raising funds for 170
children's hospitals across North America. Since 1983, these
non-profit hospitals have provided the finest care, research and
community outreach to help millions of children with diseases
and injuries of every kind, raising more than $2.1 billion. Each year, Duke Children's Hospital & Health Center participates in the Children's Miracle Network Telethon and sets aside a portion of the net proceeds from this event for the CMN Research Fund. Requests for applications are typically posted on the Department of Pediatrics web site in December.
