Advocacy
The Division of Pediatric Rhematology are actively involved with support groups, foundations, and other organizations that work towards improving the understanding of pediatric rheumatic diseases.
- American Juvenile Arthritis Organization (AJAO) 2006 National Meeting: This is a parent support group for children with arthritis and they host yearly, national meetings. Drs. Rabinovich and Schanberg spoke at the 2006 meeting.
- American College of Rheumatology, Pediatric Rheumatology Section Executive Committee: Drs. Rabinovich and Schanberg have served on this committee devoted to pediatric rheumatology within the American College of Rheumatology.
- Childhood Arthritis and Rheumatology Research Alliance: Drs. Ardoin, Morgan DeWitt, Rabinovich and Schanberg are active members of CARRA, an organization devoted solely to furthering knowledge in pediatric rheumatology.
- Lupus Foundation of America: Dr. Schanberg is a Medical Advisory Board Member to this organization devoted to furthering the understanding and treatments of lupus.
