 ![]() Currently, the faculty in the Department of Pediatrics includes 142 members who hold primary appointments and 54 members who hold consulting and/or adjunct appointments. As a whole, the faculty is among the most ethnically diverse in the Medical School.
The activities of the faculty are organized around the Department’s core missions of patient care, research, and education. The physician faculty offer a full spectrum of clinical services to infants, children, adolescents, and young adults. The Department has an extensive research portfolio and currently ranks among the top twenty pediatric departments in America as defined by total dollars awarded by the National Institutes of Health. The Department also offers a variety of educational opportunities directed at medical students, residents, fellows, and other allied health professionals.
