Clinical Research Nurse (Allergy and Immunology)
This position
requires experience working with pediatric and adult patients. Previous
experience in subject recruitment and study document preparation and
maintenance is advantageous but not required. A candidate with
experience in clinical research, especially with asthma or allergy, is
advantageous but not required. Experience with the Duke DCRU and

Clinical Research Nurse (Carolinas Cord Blood Bank)
The
incumbent is responsible for the collection of umbilical cord blood
units and related procedural paperwork and documents for the Carolinas
Cord Blood Bank at Duke University Medical Center. The
incumbent reports to the CCBB Collections Site Coordinator and will be
involved in education of the mother/donor, data collection, and
specialized laboratory procedures/techniques for the successful
collection of umbilical cord blood units for public banking and
directed donation. The incumbent is an integral member of a team of physicians, nurses, collection specialists, and other professionals providing cord blood collection and processing services for the Carolinas Cord Blood Bank.
(Note: This Duke University Medical Center position is based out of the CCBB administrative offices at 1400 Morreene Road and will float to sites that need coverage or to clinics for recruiting.)

Nurse Practitioner (Critical Care)
Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) highly preferred. In concert with a full team of pediatric stem cell transplant professionals, the nurse practitioner (NP) will provide medical service to patients from new-born to 40 years old on the Pediatric Stem Cell Transplant (PSCT) service, (if the NP is an FNP, he/she is certified to care for all ages). The NP will collect and document data, conduct diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, order and schedule laboratory and diagnostic studies, surgical procedures and professional consultations, educate nurses, NPs and physician assistant (PA) students, fellows and new physicians. The NP will communicate with, educate and supervise the care of patients and their caretakers given by DUMC RNs, home health RNs and referring physicians and provide direct patient-care services.
