Current Fellowship Opportunities
At Duke University, due to a recently funded NICHD T32 training grant, we have two unique openings for those T32-eligible (US citizen or Permanent resident).
1) For those highly-qualified candidates who have already completed a three-year fellowship but want to pursue additional training in one of our many areas of special expertise (bacterial pathogenesis, fungal pathogenesis, quantitative sciences, and global health), we have funding for an additional year of training (beginning July 2012).
2) A second opportunity is for 24 months of funded research training in our pediatric infectious diseases fellowship (July 2012 - June 2014) for those who have completed their clinical year training at another university. Additionally, fellows could also be willing to pursue their research training years before their clinical training.
We are also currently accepting applications through ERAS for fellowship positions that would begin the clinical year in July 2012 as well as positions that would begin in July 2013. Please note that the peds ID subspecialty has recently joined the Pediatric Specialties Spring Match for fellowship positions. Please plan to register as a match applicant beginning January 18, 2012. Applicants we will interview will be contacted in December and interviews will be conducted in Spring 2012 with the Match Day planned for May 30, 2012 (for positions starting in July 2013). Other important dates may be found on the
Fellowship Program Details page.
