Childhood Obesity Research (CORE) Interdisciplinary Colloquia

The Childhood Obesity Research (CORE) Interdisciplinary Colloquia is led by members of the Healthy Lifestyles Program. The goal of CORE is to create a forum to develop multidisciplinary collaborations and novel basic science, translational and clinical research to address the underlying contributors to the childhood obesity epidemic. The causes of obesity are complex and include a combination of biologic, environmental, behavioral, social and economic factors demanding a multidisciplinary approach to solving the issue. Original research will be presented during the Colloquia and will range from the discussion of new ideas and works-in-progress to nearly completed studies. Meetings occur monthly at lunch time. Lunch is provided for those who RSVP.
